Tilcia Toledo is in the Financial Services practice of FTI Consulting where she specializes in risk management, governance, compliance and financial analysis. She leverages over 25 years of experience in investment banking, regulatory compliance and consulting to deliver valuable solutions to global and national financial institutions. Ms. Toledo advises Boards of Directors, Board Risk Committees and Compliance Committees on corporate governance, management structures, charters, policies and procedures. She leads the delivery of remediation efforts for financial institutions seeking to comply with regulatory corrective actions including consent orders. Additionally, Ms. Toledo serves as the risk management subject matter expert on multiple monitorships related to non-compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations. She develops comprehensive enterprise risk management frameworks, reviews business risk assessments and provides guidance aligned with regulatory expectations. Ms. Toledo also conducts the independent assessment and testing of the BSA/AML and sanctions compliance program of financial institutions including banks, money services businesses and fintech/cryptocurrency companies. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Toledo was a Senior Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton where she served as a project manager, subject matter expert and technical lead for engagements with an emphasis on federal regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, asset valuation, risk underwriting, business process reengineering and financial industry analysis. Ms. Toledo previously worked at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) serving as a principal subject matter and technical expert for capital markets. In addition to selling distressed assets to third parties, she developed capital markets policies and procedures. Additionally, she was seconded to the Office of Complex Financial Institutions where her work included analyzing capital, liquidity, asset quality, management and strategic business activities. During her tenure at GE Capital, BNP Paribas, Scotia Capital and JP Morgan, Ms. Toledo was an investment banker in leverage finance. She managed the risk underwriting, capital markets and syndication processes of large complex acquisition transactions for corporate clients and private equity sponsors. Ms. Toledo generated over $120 million in revenue and syndicated volume in excess of $50 billion of commercial loans and high yield bonds. Ms. Toledo’s thought leadership has been featured in ACAMS Today, Law360, ABA Banking Journal Directors Briefing, Connect-World and FTI Journal. She is also the host of Finance & Leadership, a monthly podcast.
